Commission Rates

Sellers and sometime buyers ask can you reduce your commission so we can do a deal to sell the property and my response is always the same. You work all week for your pay check how would you feel if at the end of the week I asked you although you done a great job please let me take 20% of your pay check back as things aren't going so well how would you respond?

The fact is a real estate commission isn't all profit IF ONLY. I have to advertise the house, I have to maintain a website, I have to buy signs,I spend alot more on motor expenses than the average driver and I have to split my commission with my broker as they have to run an office. So please think before you ask the commission isn't pure profit.
